Air conditioning loses roughly 10% of its gas a year through the seals. That is normal. If it has stopped working within a year of a regas, it has a leak, and putting more gas in is throwing money away.
Cars registered from around 2017 use R1234yf, which needs different equipment and costs considerably more than the older R134a. We run both machines, so we can do either — and we will tell you which one your car takes before you book.
Run the air conditioning for ten minutes a month, even in winter. It keeps the seals lubricated and is the single cheapest thing you can do to avoid this bill.

Before you book
Check what your car is already due.
The reg check tells you when the MOT runs out and what the last tester flagged. It often changes what you actually need booking in for.
