A battery that starts the car on a mild afternoon can still fail on the first cold morning. We test capacity under load rather than just checking the voltage, which tells you nothing useful.
Cars with stop-start need an AGM or EFB battery, and the new one has to be registered to the battery management system. Fitting a standard battery to a stop-start car will kill it within a year.
If the battery keeps going flat, the battery is often not the problem. We can measure parasitic drain and find what is staying awake.

When people come to us for this
- Slow or laboured cranking
- Battery warning light on while driving
- Stop-start has stopped working
- Car is flat after standing a few days
- Electrical items behaving oddly
Before you book
Check what your car is already due.
The reg check tells you when the MOT runs out and what the last tester flagged. It often changes what you actually need booking in for.
